Around 13 flights were cancelled on Friday taking the total to 120 flights affected by the Air India pilots' strike that continued for the third day today despite court's stay order. As per information made available from airports across the country, the bulk of the flights that were cance lled on Thursday were mainly scheduled out of the national capital and Mumbai.
Air India announced it will stop accepting bookings till May 4 to clear the backlog.
Members of the Indian Commercial Pilots Association (ICPA), once on the rolls of the erstwhile Indian Airlines, struck work midnight Tuesday demanding parity in pay with their counterparts in Air India and other issues related to work conditions.
